GenderWork is a *SAFE ZONE*

We honor and respect one another and the diversity of experiences and values we bring together at our meetings. For more information see our Guidelines page.

We are affiliated with the Yahoo! Group chicagoftmgroup. The Chicago FTM Group is an Alliance of people who are committed to forming a support network in the Chicagoland area, and to help folks find the services they need.

 Your fabulous facilitator...

Nick is a California native, but a Chicago man at heart. He is committed to transgender advocacy and outreach. He works at Northwestern University where he is also active in the LGBT community. In addition to serving on the Northwestern University LGBT Support Network, he is co-facilitator of the Transgender Ally Training, offered several times a year both on the Evanston and Chicago campuses. Nick has his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz where he also founded and facilitated the transgender support and social group “Transgender/Cisgender”. He has spoken on numerous panels at schools and other organizations through Triangle Speakers, a Santa Cruz based non-profit organization that works to eliminate fear, prejudice, and hatred against LGBT people. He is proud to serve the Chicago FTM community. You may contact him at nick[at]genderworkchicago[dot]org.
